The Rural Municipality of Moose Range is accepting applications for the position of a seasonal full time grader operator. This position is to begin April 3, 2018 for the April to November Season weather permitting. This applicant must be self motivated and will assist in the maintenance of the road network. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package after the applicable probationary period has been completed. The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Grade or plow all roads within the designated area in a safe and timely manner.
Operator must report any unsafe or dangerous road conditions to administration.
Performance of all daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
Responsible for general care and maintenance of equipment and must inform administration of any necessary major repairs.
Operator must keep work area clean and safe.
Hours of operation are as required may include some weekends.
Other duties as required.
The preferred candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Heavy Powered Mobile Equipment Operator Competency Certificate.
Valid Class 5 license required but a 1A drivers license will be an asset.
Clean drivers abstract.
Strong communication skills
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Experience operating a grader in a municipal environment will be an asset.
