Quality Assurance Technician
Work within Quality Assurance Unit, Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for assisting in the uptake of companys food safety and food quality programs, to meet established standards.
Responsibilities:
-Organize scheduled product sensory and stability program.
-Conduct environmental monitoring swabs, and trend analysis
-Perform sanitation verification swabs, and program
-Assist Quality Control in Allergen Monitoring program
-Fulfil templates/forms/checklists at pre-defined frequency that support companys regulatory and technical compliances
-Track shelf life and inventory on raw materials and ingredients
-Interact with production supervisors and operator lead persons, to enforce Good Manufacturing Practices
-Conduct inspections on inbound production materials as well as outbound finished products
-Participate in training of operators on GMP compliance
-Review, release and filing of manufacturing pre-production and sanitation check sheets
-Review and close production files to ensure accuracy and regulatory and technical compliance.
-Participate in investigating both planned and unplanned deviations from manufacturing operations
-Prepare customer documentation package on food ingredients and products. Assist in Quality Assurance Unit to customer requests
-Work on Deviation Reporting and Tracking
-Maintain and uptake documentation system for raw materials and ingredients purchased from various suppliers, vendors, and brokers. Assist in companys supplier qualification program
-Internal and external audits on companys food safety and food quality system and program
Qualifications:
-Post-secondary degree and/or Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, or General Sciences
-Minimum two years of work experience in a food or chemical manufacturing environment
-Good knowledge on GMP/HACCP for food and supplements
-Competent in Microsoft Office Environment
