Description

Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, this position will work independently to manage, curate and conserve the collection of the Ralph Allen Museum.  The individual will be generally guided by the Museum Association of Saskatchewan Standards, and by volunteer Board members.  Additionally, the Museum Worker is responsible to work with the public to research items in the collection and provide tours of the Museum, develop programming and events for fundraising and to interest the public in the Museum's collection, and to perform administrative tasks such as grant writing, publicity, social media, ordering supplies, filing and other general office duties.

Applicants will:
- have a strong interest in learning and sharing the stories of our region, and a willingness to take both on-line and in-person courses and workshops to learn basic museum standards;
- be a creative ideas person, with strong attention to detail;
- be an individual who demonstrates initiative, self discipline, and is comfortable working alone and managing their own work and time;
- have good writing and speaking skills; and
- have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, Social Media).
