Description

The YMCA of Regina is looking for an addition to our Leadership Team! We want to hire staff who are invested in children, youth and teens, and see this position as more than just a paycheque. The YMCA wants to hear from you if you are passionate about making a difference in young peoples lives.

Our Leadership team work in various YMCA programs, building skills in children, youth and teens of all abilities. This includes (but is not limited to) Leadership development, craft, cooking and sports classes.

Must have availability for Tuesdays between 6-9pm.

Responsibilities:

Planning and executing leadership development programming
Supervising children in YMCA youth programs
Planning, coordinating and implementing fun, safe activities for children, youth and teens in YMCA Leadership programs that promote personal development, social development, recreation and health.
Comply with all YMCA Child Protection policies and procedures, and complete Child Protection training as required.
Communicating program successes and activities (through social media & other mediums)
Building healthy and trusting relationships with staff, youth, and families
Assisting other departments within the YMCA when required and executing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Willingness to learn
Self-motivated, be able to work independently and part of a team
Past experience and interest in working with youth
Experience in lesson/program planning
Demonstrate ability to be a positive role model, mentor and authentic leader
Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, including evenings and weekends
Must be able to obtain Criminal record check dated within 3 months of hire & Vulnerable Sector Check
Current:    Standard First Aid, CPR, but could be completed as a part of YMCA Training
