Description

The Role:

Act as the primary technical and management lead for the firms transportation projects with a specific focus on traffic impact assessments and transportation master planning
Support existing clients with their transportation engineering needs and contribute to the firms business development initiatives  
Manage projects from tender to construction phase supporting a high level of client consultation and involvement
Direct technical support sta regarding system design, specifications and drawings
Deliver contract administration support, general engineering direction and provide site
visits and inspections
Provide support to other senior engineers within the land group as it relates to
municipal engineering projects and project management

The Ideal Candidate:

7 + years of transportation engineering experience with a strong track record of success supporting transportation engineering projects either in the public or private sectors
Completion of a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or related Systems Engineering Program
Must be registered with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists
of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and must have a
Permission to Consult designation with APEGS specific to transportation.
Demonstrate a commitment to achieving both a Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) designation and a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) designation
Must have competency with transportation master planning, travel demand forecasting, corridor and route selection studies, parking studies, traffic data collection and analysis processes and associated software programs and traffic impact assessment studies and functional planning and design
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong working knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Canada (MUTCDC) and Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) design guidelines
