Description

Under the supervision of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director for the Downtown BID will be responsible for directing and managing the development of plans and programs that support the organizations values, mission and general objectives.
The Executive Director will collaborate with internal staff, organization members, volunteers and external constituents resulting in cooperative and effective collaborations that further the organization's mission.

Experience
Practical experience in business, finance, municipal administration, community development or a related field would be an asset.

Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and public speaking, organizational consensus - building and media relations skills.
Experience in grant-writing and financial oversight is preferred.
Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a diverse population.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Prior experience working with boards, volunteers, community, small business and municipal government are considered an asset.

Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or combination of education and work experience.
