Position Overview:
Must be mechanically sound in assembling finished product, inspect product to ensure high quality and identify areas of improvement.
Tasks and Duties:
Operate hand tools, air wrenches, impacts, drills, and grinders
Perform tasks with detailed accuracy
Assemble parts as per drawing
Package parts for shipping
Apply decals on parts as per work order instructions
Read and comprehend blueprints
Maintain good housekeeping practices
Attend all flipchart meetings
Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Lead Hand, Production Supervisor and/or the Production Manager
Ensure all tasks are performed with the highest regard for safety, as outlined in our Safety Manual
Ensure quality is inherent in all tasks performed
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of grade 12 completed, or equivalent
Additional education and skills training is preferred
Previous production experience is preferred
Familiarity with basic tools and mechanically inclined
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
Adequate reading and writing skills
Take accurate measurements and data recording
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
