Description

Hatchet Lake Development Limited Partnership (HLDP) is looking for a CFO who will be responsible for the financial, cash and risk management operations at the Company. Main responsibilities include the following:
*Management of the operations of the accounting department including overseeing the accounting staff and the operation of Hatchet Lake Development and its operating divisions, including, but not limited to the Construction and Equipment Services Division, the Hatchet Lake Store, the Wollaston Lake Fisheries plant in both Hatchet Lake and Prince Albert and any other initiatives that HLDP may undertake in the future. The CFO will also oversee the accounting operations of investment holdings of HLDP, which currently includes Caribou Transport
*Oversee the payment of A/P and collection of A/R and other regular business transactions of HLDP
*Support month end and year end processes, and prepare timely and complete financial statements for the CEO and Board. The CFO will review all reports from the divisions/investments and attend and report to all board and finance subcommittee meetings
*Assist in planning initiatives including coordinating the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts and provide the CEO with advice as required
*Monitor cash balances, forecast cash needs and oversee asset management
*Assist in the due diligence and negotiations of acquisitions
*Understand and mitigate HLDPs risk management plan
*Assist in arranging for debt and equity financing and prepare grant applications and reports
*Provide controller responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
A CPA accounting designation and/or an advanced degree in accounting preferred and/or have significant proven experience in a financial leadership role
Experience in retail accounting would be an asset
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
