Thank you.
Ranch Ehrlo Society is excited to announce the expansion of their Treatment Foster Care program to include the Family-Based Treatment home.
The family based treatment home will involve foster parents caring for up to four children with the help of child and youth care staff. This service will be available for children aged 5 to 11 with a variety of presenting problems, including behavioral, emotional, and developmental issues. Children referred to this program will typically require 24-hour supervision and/or support, but will be better served in a staffed family home due to their age. Professional foster parents will live in the home, but will be supported by in-home child and youth-care staff.
The successful candidates will assume responsibilities for youth in their care and provide a safe and nurturing environment. Caregivers are provided with training, clinical and consultative support, and respite services, including access to a 24-hour on-call system. Foster parents work collaboratively with a number of professionals and participate in the treatment planning and implementation of the child in their care.
Parental care givers will have:
- Past training/experience and natural abilities to work with children.
- The ability to parent up to four children
- Their own home in the Regina area with one or two spare bedrooms
- A loving and supportive family environment
- One parent must full-time stay at home
Background:
With the expansion of the Treatment Foster Care Program Ranch Ehrlo Society will now be able to help children and youth, between the ages of 0 and 15 years, develop and maintain healthy relationships with their families and plan for reunification.
