Description

Regina Public Schools is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist - Network
The successful applicant will promote and support Regina Public Schools Technology in Teaching and Learning Strategy, the Information Governance
and Reporting Priority Objectives and is responsible for the implementation, customization, documentation and maintenance of the division
wide network. Routine tasks include providing division wide support for network communications
and implementing network security.
Qualifications:
- A University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and an industry standard
network certification or an equivalent significant combination of education and experience.
The ideal candidate requires:
- Knowledge of network communication protocols.
- Technical knowledge of computer hardware and software in order to provide troubleshooting.
- Advanced technical knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP,and wireless components.
- Excellent customer oriented communication skills.
- Ability to interpret end user info to ensure user needs are understood and met.
- Ability to learn about new operations, network components and systems and set priorities.
- Provide strong attention to detail in high pressure situations.
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other areas of Information, Governance, and Reporting
to ensure user problems get resolved.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, including appropriate handling of confidential matters.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and students.

The candidate must be able to perform work outside of regular business hours in order to perform upgrades and repair critical problems.
Must be able to provide own transportation and hold a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License with
a good driving record.
