Facility: SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL
Job Description: The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of the ABI Outreach Team, providing case management as well as Occupational Therapy assessment, consultation, and some direct therapy to clients of the ABI Outreach Team. All case managers provide support and education to the survivor, their families/support networks, and community agencies to facilitate community reintegration and assist with community resource development. The ABI Outreach Team provides service to three Health Regions within an area of Central Saskatchewan, spanning distances of up to approximately 400km from Saskatoon
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially.
Experience
Preference would be given to those individuals who have at least one year experience working with acquired brain injury clients, rehabilitation, case management & community assessment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Case management skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Demonstrated knowledge base & experience regarding Acquired Brain Injury (pediatric & adult), & its effects on survivors & their support systems, as well as appropriate assessments & interventions. Ability to carry out a comprehensive initial case managem
