Louis Dreyfus Company is a leading merchandiser and trader in the international commodities market. The ideal candidate should have a 2nd Class Boiler/Power Engineer Interprovincial Ticket.
The successful applicant in this position will operate the steam supply boilers, the deodorizer High Pressure Fired Heat Exchange, and the deodorizer vacuum system refrigeration equipment. This person also will operate the waste water treatment plant, monitor and control the chemical treatment of all inbound and outbound water streams including the cooling towers. This person is responsible for operating all equipment associated with these processes in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with government regulations and Company standards.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure compliance with Company safety and food safety rules by self and others. They will operate assigned equipment and make regular checks and log inspection of equipment and immediately report any damage or other maintenance needs while assisting with the routine maintenance of all assigned equipment. They will ensure that standard operating procedures are followed by self and others, while seeing that company standards are met and plan efficiencies are optimized. Additionally, they are responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient startup, shutdown, and normal operation of all assigned processes and equipment in their work area.
