Pinehouse Business North (PBN) is a northern Saskatchewan Aboriginal owned & operated company. PBN is hiring one contract HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC who will be responsible for the maintenance & repairs for all heavy equipment & diesel-powered automobiles at the shop. This position is based out of Pinehouse with some travel to remote work sites on a 10 days on & 4 days off schedule.
More specifically:
Comprehensive understanding of diesel powered automobiles & all CAT brand equipment
Repair, overhaul, maintain & service equipment in a fast paced, outdoor environment
Mentor PBN employees to ensure OH&S policies, industry standards & client quality standards are adhered to
Work with PBN & Site Management to coordinate necessary maintenance scheduling, repairs & emergent issues as they arise on site as required
Maintain a high degree of professionalism & excellent communication with client(s), ensuring PBN Management is adequately updated on all pertinent matters
Maintain various files, records & reports, including maintenance records
Operate equipment if required by PBN Management
Attend client sponsored meetings as requested
Qualifications:
CAT equipment experience SIS & ET
Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
A minimum of 5 years civil industry experience
Dedication to work place safety & adhering to industry standards
Certification in WHMIS, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate; Fire Extinguisher; & Ground Disturbance is considered an asset
Class 3A drivers license or better
Extensive knowledge of computer software applications & office administration procedures
Meeting the requirements for Resident of Saskatchewans North (RSN) is considered an asset
