Description

POS has been operating in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for over 40 years and our business is experiencing significant growth.  We are looking for a Lead Buyer, Contracts & Procurement.
The Person
We are looking for a responsible person to perform the following duties:
    -Builds strategic sourcing relationships to benefit POS as a global Ingredient Company;
-Acts as lead buyer, accountable for negotiating and optimizing all supply and service agreements/terms to enhance revenue for multiple sites and warehouses;
-Establishes contracts following established standards and coordinates with internal and external advisors on exceptions;
-Assume the lead role in the Lean transformation of POS supply chain
-Enhance function of material management module in Epicor (ERP) system
-Responsible for maintaining accurate data and reporting in the Epicor (ERP) system;
-Manages contract communications including performance requirements and milestones;
-Replenishes and procures inventory as required to meet project deliverables;

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-A university degree in business and an SCMP or CPP designation is preferred.
Extensive experience in leadership roles related to procurement projects and competitive bid processes; demonstrated use of analytical and negotiation skills with successful outcomes; and demonstrated application of contract law and regulatory requirements.
