Description

Brandt is looking for a Portfolio Planner for our Machine Conversion products.  Machine conversions are where we take a standard equipment platform, like a wheel loader, and turn it into a purpose built Rough Terrain Forklift for a particular industry.  We use a variety of different platforms to do this in rail, mining, construction, pipelining and forestry applications.  This is a unique, ground floor opportunity to shape the vision for Brandts products for years to come.  

Duties
    Collect, Analyze and Interpret Market Data from brochures, websites, dealers, customers, trade shows and industry publications.
    Understand industry trends, customer and dealer needs.
    Identify current product gaps, weaknesses.
    Develop and prioritize  ideas for new products and model updates across the product line.
    Develop longer term Research & Development plan for product line.
    Plan and help deliver  the go to market plan  for the launch of new products.

Required Experience
We want a candidate who has experience in this or a similar industry and has a good equipment background as either a user, mechanic, designer, sales/marketing or manufacturing role.  The ideal candidate will have:
    A passion for equipment and the ability to articulate customer needs
    Experience in at least one of the following areas  direct use of the product, sales, design, customer support or manufacturing
    Excellent organization & communication skills  written and verbal
    The ability to work with  all levels and departments in the organization
    An understanding of business and product financial metrics
    The ability to travel 1 week per month if necessary.
