Description

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Box Office Manager will work closely with the Sales, Front of House, Development and Marketing Managers, to inspire and oversee the creation of outstanding patron interactions and customer service experiences with the goal of strengthening and enhancing Globe Theatres Live Is Better brand. The Box Office Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of ticket sales for the theatres productions, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.  In addition, they also participate in the ongoing development of marketing strategies with specific input on ticket pricing, and customer service. This is a full-time position with hours that may include evenings and weekends.

Major Responsibilities:
Hire, train, supervise and monitor performance of Box Office staff
Deliver on the theatres customer service promise, deepen and enrich the live theatre experience for current patrons, develop new audiences, listen and respond to community members, seek out opportunities to surprise and delight our patrons
Manage patron engagement campaign
Support Sales Manager in the management of the Box Office ticketing computer system

Strong interest and aptitude for computer systems and processes
A team player who thrives in a creative, collaborative environment
High-energy and self-motivated with a drive to achieve results
A willingness to learn and a passion for the arts are a must
Knowledge & Experience Required:
A degree in marketing or business with a marketing and sales focus or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in managing staff
Experience with Box Office ticketing systems would be an asset
A collaborative and flexible style with a strong service approach
