Job Description: The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for encouraging the growth of the human habitat by guiding and coaching staff in keeping with the mission of Sherbrooke, the principles of care, Care 2000 principles and the principles of the Eden Alternative tm.  The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementing, directing, communicating, coordinating and evaluating care and strategies for improving quality of life.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.
Sherbrooke Community Centre/Central Haven Special Care Home is a registered Eden AlternativeTM home and as such works to create a diverse habitat where children, plants and animals are a part of everyday life.

It will be desirable if you possess a knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques involved in performing nursing services relating to the care of patients on the second floor.  This knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience in long-term nursing.
Expected Start Date: February 5, 2018
Expected Up To Date: February 4, 2019
FTE: 0.50

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends
In a 12 week rotation: 28 shifts of 8.00 hours
