Description

Ministry of Finance, Revenue Operations Branch, requires a Collection and Enforcement Officer with proven communication, analytical and negotiating skills to participate in the routine collection and enforcement of delinquent taxes payable to the province.  This position is located in our Regina head office.

As a member of a professional team of collection officers you will contact taxpayers by phone, correspondence and/or in person, to obtain outstanding returns, establish tax liabilities, and to ensure compliance with the filing and remittance requirements of the various statutes administered.

You will review financial information to determine account balances, assess outstanding taxes, and calculate penalties, commissions and interest payable.  In addition, you will provide detailed information to taxpayers with respect to tax account information, taxation requirements and penalty assessments in accordance with legislation.  Where voluntary compliance is not received, you will initiate appropriate documentation and steps to begin the legal collection process.
