Description
We are a family run mixed farm. We are looking for 1 farm supervisor with relevant experience and knowledge of modern grain farm operation to join our team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Min 2 years experience
Familiar with modern farm machinery and technology, including but not limited to GPS and Sprayer systems
Farming machinery operating experience required
Class 5 drivers license or equivalent required to drive equipment and get around (isolated area)
Understanding of long farm hours in high season, grain farm practice and expectations
Ability to read gauges, instruments and electronic readout gauges for farm equipment
Carpentry skills an asset
Responsibilities
Supervise seeding, growing and harvesting operations
Maintain quality control and production records
Co-ordinate, assign and supervise the work of seasonal farm workers and harvesting labourers
Supervise and perform maintenance of farm machinery, equipment, and buildings
Ensure farm safety and security procedures are followed
Perform general farm labour duties as the need arises
Perform other duties as assigned by the farm owner/manager
Wage range of $18.00 $20.00/hour depends on experience and skills.
Furnished housing with utilities available at 650 CAD per month.
