REGISTERED NURSE

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is currently seeking a highly motivated, self-directed 1 Year Temporary Full Time  Registered Nurse to work in the field of Home Care Nursing.  As a Home Care Registered Nurse the successful applicant will have the opportunity to exercise leadership, judgment, independence and put into practice advanced nursing skills.

Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible to work as a team member, to provide quality Nursing programs to the four (4) Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Communities of La Ronge, Grandmother'ss Bay, Sucker River and Hall Lake. The RN will complete initial assessments, administer/monitor medication, case conference with other health care providers, provided footcare and provide other nursing procedures as required.

Qualifications:

    Degree in Nursing is strongly recommended;
    In good standing and eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA);
    Strong leadership skills;
    Strong communication and public relations skills;
    Ability to work effectively as a team member;
    The ability to speak/understand Cree will be a definite asset;
    Must possess a Valid Driverss License;
    Must be able to work independently.
