Description

Primary Function:
        Work with conveyors, pumps and compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, press brakes and metalworking equipment. Must be able to detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, install machinery and mechanical equipment, repair or replace defective machinery parts, fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance set-up, perform routine maintenance work on machinery, wear PPE at all times.

Requirements:
       Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Certificate Coach and instruct apprentices Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
    
Work Conditions:
    Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.  Exposed to elevated noise levels, vibrations and extreme cold and heat.  Physical Hazards - Close proximity to moving parts & electrical currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, hot surfaces, molten metal, chemicals, oils, & grease.  Atmospheric conditions may require use of a respirator.
