The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Operative Dentistry. The successful candidate will be required to deliver didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching; supervise student research projects; initiate, lead and participate in research activities; compete successfully for external funding to support this research program; and undertake relevant administrative activities including meetings and committee work.
Applicants must possess a DDS/DMD or equivalent. Evidence of collaborative academic achievements and documented experience in minimally invasive dentistry and modern caries management is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a PhD in Dental Sciences or Cariology and a strong or emerging record of research and/or academic accomplishments.Desirable attributes include effective classroom teaching skills, mentorship abilities/skills and effective and interpersonal communication skills.The salary bands are: Assistant Professor $93,293 - $112,109; Associate Professor $112,109 $130,925; Full Professor $130,925 - $152,877. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is possible in rare and exceptional circumstances pursuant to Article 18.2.6.12 of the 2014-2017 USFA CBA.
