Canpotex is currently seeking a Dev/Ops Lead with expertise in Application and Data Architecture to join our Business Information (BI) team in our Saskatoon office.
        
As part of our BI Solutions Group and lead of the Dev/Ops team, reporting to the Solutions Manager, you will design, develop, test, implement and support data-driven solutions across the corporation including existing applications to large-scale and complex business and data transformation programs.  You will architect efficient, reliable, scalable and secure solutions to meet the needs of the business.  This includes planning, evaluating, recommending and designing solutions to ensure that technology projects are cost effective, compliant with enterprise standards and aligned with business and technology strategies.  

Canpotexs current technical environment is a mix of custom built and COTS solutions.  Experience with both is important with demonstrated experience leading the migration to a more COTS based approach.  Experience in application and data architecture, Agile, Microsoft based applications, C#, .Net, Angular, SQL, data modelling and analytics and application modernization and transformation are required.  Preferred candidates will have knowledge and interest in new and innovative technologies such as Distributed Ledger and Artificial Intelligence.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of eight years experience of hands on technical work in the area of application and data architecture with three years working in a leadership role. Experience working a corporate IT environment is considered an asset.
