Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment (GDI T&E) is currently looking to fill Apprentice Welder position which has been made available with one of our employer partners. GDI T&E partners with employers across Saskatchewan willing to hire and train Aboriginal apprentices (Metis, First Nations, Non-Status, Inuit) through our Aboriginal Apprenticeship Project.

Requirements:

- Experience in the Welding Industry would be an asset.

- Seeking a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice welder.

- Industry standard safety certifications are an asset: CSTS, SCOT, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, H2S Alive

- CWB certifications in both stick and flux core are also an asset.

- The successful candidate will be team oriented, reliable, well organized, self-motivated, and possess a strong desire to learn.

- Must be Aboriginal to qualify (Metis, First Nations, Non-Status, Inuit)

- Must reside in Saskatchewan
