You will be responsible to maintain a sufficient level of physical security for Store(s) within your respective territory.
Key Duties:
- Detect, deter or apprehend suspected shoplifters following proper procedures and protocols in accordance with local laws and company procedures
- Investigates and handles security matters relevant in assigned Stores(s) as they relate to external losses
- Partners with Store Management to implement strategic shrink reduction plans to minimize losses due to theft, fraud other acts of dishonesty
- Ensures the security of company assets, including safety of associates and all persons entering on our properties
- Testifies when required in criminal, civil or arbitrary proceedings
Required Qualifications:
- Valid security license with exemption for ability to wear plain clothes.
- Minimum 2 years retail loss prevention experience
- Use of Force and Verbal Judo training will be considered an asset
- Ability to write detailed, clear and concise reports
- Demonstrated ability to operate security related equipment such as CCTV systems
- Solid understanding of Criminal Code Of Canada, The Trespass To Property Act and National Use Of Force Model.
- Ability to show good judgement, common sense and decision making ability
