Description

Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) is an organization that provides a range of business and community services to promote and enhance Downtowns unique assets.
The Clean Team plays an important role in helping RDBID achieve its mandate.

Days/Hours Of work: This is a seasonal position running from May until September requiring 20hrs each per week. The work is generally weekdays: 8:00AM-12:00PM. An occasional evening or weekend may be required. Perfect job for university students or someone looking to supplement their income.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Report fit for work in a timely matter to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Wear all uniform and safety equipment as provided and required for job specifics.
Effective time management skills.
Attend and participate in Clean Team personnel   meetings.
Pick up litter and debris, including cigarette butts from RDBID zone.
Operate a pressure washer and sidewalk sweeper.
Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
Inspect sidewalks, benches, bus shelters, bicycle stands and any other sidewalk amenities for issues and report them to the maintenance supervisor.
Inspect and remove light graffiti.
Record all maintenance statistics, issues and work performed while on duty.
When required, assist with other members of RDBID in preparing for events in downtown.
Provide information and directions in a friendly manner to downtown visitors, if approached while on duty.
Perform all duties in a responsible manner.

Qualifications:    Previous cleaning & maintenance experience an asset but not required. Minimum Grade 12, ability to work independently & effectively with minimal supervision, good communication & problem solving skills and physically capable of working outdoors for extended periods of time. Please note there is no private parking for this job.
