Description

Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Production Supervisor is responsible for accomplishing manufacturing results by leading and coordinating daily operational aspects of the production facility.

I - Production and Manufacturing
Direct responsibility for sub-production areas, relative to the cut-floor
Regularly coordinates with Pack-off Supervisor to maintain accuracy in dynamic Production demands
Maintain and improve quality by establishing and enforcing organizational GMP standards as well as CFIA regulations
Maintain and suggest improvements to work flow processes by monitoring processes, providing analysis and implementing cost reduction strategies while fostering a spirit of cooperation between departments
Provide continuous improvement feedback to applicable departments to ensure customer satisfaction
Consistently meet customer requirements regarding quality and cut specifications
Responsible to ensure optimal line speed efficiencies and targets are being met
Communicates regularly with all departments to ensure facility, machines and lines are running at optimum levels and maximum quality.

II - Administration/Budgeting & Leadership
To lead & coach Cut-Floor Lead Hands & applicable staff on policies
Ability to provide guidance and assistance to all Cut Floor Lead Hands.
Provide Staff Evaluations on job performance and discipline when necessary in consultation with the Plant Superintendent and Plant Manager
Ensure that all employees both newly-hired and current are properly trained.
Maintains working relationships with the union to ensure the terms of the Collective Bargaining agreement are followed
To always lead in a manner that exemplifies honesty, integrity quality and trust
Schedule & manage labour costs as per budget and yield requirements
Manage the attendance and vacation approvals for production staff
