Hebert Grain Ventures is a progressive large scale farming operation located at Fairlight, SK(SE 14-11-32 W1). We are looking for a dynamic individual who can lead a team of junior workers, mentor and supervise them. Since we are a family farm, the successful candidate will need to be a very good team player. This position is permanent and requires good communication skills in English.
Duties:
to supervise, schedule and coordinate work of farm workers and labourers
to develop work schedules
to establish procedures
supervise and execute safety standards and procedures
oversee growing and necessary crop-related operations
operate large farm equipment
conduct general repairs of the large farm equipment if necessary
responsible for mentoring junior staff in the operation of the equipment
perform general farm duties when necessary
Requirements:
high school completion
over 1.5 year of experience with large farm equipment operation
very good command of English(spoken and written)
a valid 1A drivers licence /or be willing to obtain one
experience at the grain farm will be an asset.
Experience with GPS and related functions
