Westeel has an immediate opening for a highly skilled Journeyperson Industrial Millwright to join our dedicated and supportive production team.
A leading supplier of the highest quality agricultural storage products, Westeel Saskatoon provides a safe, reliable and fast-paced work environment. This is a permanent, full-time position which requires in-depth mechanical expertise in equipment used in metal fabrication, welding, industrial painting and material handling. A well-rounded background in hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
-    Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and repairs on production equipment specific to metal fabrication.
-    Maintaining various plant equipment including electric motors, generators, electric controls, ventilating fans, forklifts, engines and hydraulic systems.
-    Following all safe work practices including proper lockout and tag out procedures.
-    Working in conjunction with the maintenance supervisor and fellow coworkers to plan tool and material use in ways that efficiently maximize production capacity.
-    Reporting and documenting work processes and maintaining preventative maintenance logs.
Qualifications for this position include a Journeyperson Red Seal designation, a strong mechanical background, a Grade 12 education, a proven attendance record and a demonstrated attention to organization. Abilities necessary to obtain company-provided forklift, crane certification, and confined space certification are required.  Shift work, including day, evening and other shifts, is required.
