Description

There is a career opportunity available at RONA Moose Jaw. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Office and Payroll Administrator is responsible for providing confidential, professional and friendly support to all members of staff. The Office and Payroll Administrator is a key central position in the store and provides reporting information to the management team, and completes key administrative functions related to HRIS, payroll and benefits, recruitment and on boarding and various other people related issues. A high level of discretion, professionalism and integrity are essential for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide exceptional assistance and service to all RONA customers with an emphasis on the internal customer
    Recruitment and orientation
    On boarding of new employees
    Training (administration)
    Processing and transmitting payroll and vacation hours
    Benefits administration support
    Maintaining employee files and data entry
    Report generating

QUALIFICATIONS:
    Superior communication and interpersonal skills
    Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
    Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and autonomy
    Time management and problem solving skills
    Ability to perform work duties that involve stretching, bending, lifting and carrying medium to heavy products
    Proficient computer skills (intermediate in Word and Excel) and solid mathematical ability
    2 years of payroll experience (Kronos time and attendance system) and accounting knowledge an asset
