Full time position starting June 11th to August 31st
(35hrs per week)
The Town of Rosthern is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual with interest in recreation, sport, and culture based programming to help Co-ordinate and implement summer activities for children and youth aged 5 and up.
The Successful candidate will answer to the Recreation and Community Development Manager and be responsible for the care of all participants, and the supervision of the Programs Activities Leaders.
Qualifications
Must be at least of 18 years of age.
Must be a returning student, secondary or post-secondary . (fall 2018)
Knowledge, experience or have a high interest level in Sport and Recreation Programming
Must be Organized, and have excellent communication skills
Supervisory skills
Self-motivated
Must have current First Aid/CPR
* Successful candidate must provide criminal record check
Responsibilities
Directly responsible to Recreation Manager
Co-ordinate activities aimed at children and youth in the community
Plan & coordinate group field trips & events
Supervision of children aged 5 +
Maintain accurate daily logs, involving participants and programs
Maintain a safe environment for all participants and staff
Promote Rosthern Recreation and healthy lifestyles
Wage/salary info: 12.00 15.00 (depending on qualifications)
Employment Terms: Full Time
Employment Length: 11 Weeks
