Facility: WEST WINDS PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE
Job Description: This position provides services to prenatal and postnatal teens/young women attending Saskatoon Collegiates. The Prenatal Health Nurse completes initial intakes and postnatal assessments. The Prenatal Health Nurse has set hours at their assigned core collegiates and provides services to the students attending on an as needed basis. Key activites of the work include: Assessments/Case Management, Collaboration, Home/Schooling visiting, Individual Education, Nutritional Counselling, Referrals, Adovacy and other duties as required.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
1 YEAR COMMUNITY NURSING EXPERIENCE INCLUDING DELIVERY OF SERVICE AND SUPPORT TO HIGH-RISK PRENATAL/POSTNATAL CLIENTS THROUGH HOME VISITING AND IN SCHOOLS REQUIRED.  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced facilitation skills
Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills
Knowledge of the health region and community resources
