PMP is in search of a CNC Lathe Operator who exemplifies a safety conscious attitude, has strong attention to detail and believes in delivering top quality work.  If this sounds like you, apply today!

The CNC Lathe Operator sets up, machines and processes metal parts through the use of a CNC lathe and other systems in the machine shop. CNC Machinist is responsible for manufacturing quality parts produced on CNC machines according with supplied drawings. Responsibilities will include loading parts, writing the programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance and requirements. The CNC Machinist must detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required to insure quality of production. This position requires knowledge and experience with using a forklift and overhead crane. Must work under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist and is fully responsible for quality parts produced. Some mechanical knowledge and experience is beneficial for success in the role.

Qualifications:
    Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a machine shop environment
    Experience with the set up and operation of Fanuc Control CNC Lathe
    Must be able to read, write and edit G Code
    Experience with ERP systems
    Ability to read blueprints and apply the information
    Confident use of precision measuring equipment with ability to read micrometers and calipers at a minimum
    Robotics/automation experience an asset
    Good dexterity with a sense of urgency
    Great attention to detail
    Willingness and ability to learn
