Ministry of Central Services, Property Management Division within the Construction Services Branch, Regina requires a competent and capable Journeyperson Electrician to provide minor maintenance and tenant improvement services within the Government Buildings in Saskatchewan
Under the general direction of your supervisor, you will utilize your skills, knowledge and abilities gained through your Journeyperson Electrician technical training and on-the-job experience as you provide electrical services within assigned locations in accordance with industry safety standards, codes and regulations. Such duties include routine maintenance troubleshooting of electrical components and controls, energy conservation tasks and electrical work on minor renovations. Additionally, you will diagnose and recommend electrical repairs or replacement as well as maintain shop and project records.
The nature and duties of this position are such that you will work independently or as part of a team ensuring customer needs and project assignments are completed in a timely, safe and efficient manner. The working conditions of this position requires the ability to satisfy the physical requirements and demands of walking over rough ground; exposure to on-site construction hazards, climbing ladders and working in confined or constricted areas.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of theories, principles and practices related to the electrical field and knowledge of occupational safety standards supplemented with several years related trade experience.
To qualify for this position you must possess and be able to produce a valid Journeyperson Electrician Ticket as well as valid Class 5 driver's license.
