Description

Sask Central Victim Services Inc. is a not-for-profit organization delivering Police-based Victim Services in central SK.  The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of the organizations programs in accordance with its Mission, Values and Strategic Plan.
  
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Board in its Governance functions
Develop operational plans to achieve strategic goals
Support staff/volunteers with service delivery
Day-to-day admin.; compliance with operational policy, program evaluation, record keeping and information management.
Manage SCVS human resources and develop a collaborative team-based culture
Ensure accountability throughout the organization; this includes formal reporting to the Board, funders, key stakeholders and public
Develop and maintain effective relationships with media, public and key stakeholders

Our ideal candidate will be a strategic and collaborative team leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who is professional, caring and compassionate.  In addition, the individual will have:
Degree in human services field and 5 yrs experience in a management position (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience in the not-for-profit sector (knowledge of Governance Board Models is an asset)
Ability to recruit, manage and lead a team of staff and volunteers
Understanding of accounting principles and basic financial reports
Ability to develop, implement and monitor operational plans/budgets
Ability to build collaborative internal and external partnerships
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, crisis intervention and other human services theories and practices
Knowledge of Victim Services
Competence in Microsoft Office and accounting software
Have a valid Drivers License and ability to travel
