Description

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, orientation, scheduling, recognition, and supervision of SWITCH volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator also implements and maintains communication and promotion strategies as well as information programs aimed at mentor and student volunteers.

About SWITCH:

SWITCH is an interdisciplinary student-led health clinic serving Saskatoon's core neighbourhoods. SWITCH's mandate is to improve the health of the community, the education of future health professionals and build relationships between these future professionals and the community at large. SWITCH is a safe space for people to access outreach services, a hot meal, childcare, educational programming and primary health services regardless of social circumstances. Within this mutually beneficial environment, opportunities exist to diminish barriers to health care, improve community relations, and make Saskatoon a healthier place for all.

Please note: the volunteer coordinator is required to work during SWITCH clinic shifts, which occur on evenings/weekends.
