Description

Key Responsibilitiesare:
In an office environment, provides pricing, availability and schedule information within established guidelines.Provides quotes to customers.Follows up with quotes and expediting orders.Receives requests and responds to inquiries from customers
Prepares sales orders and enters orders and returns into the system
Creates Purchase orders in system and Receives product into system
Maintains status of orders and dates using order management log and AS400
Builds and maintains customer relationships
Works with Purchasing, Outside Sales and Branch Management to provide the highest level of proactive customer service to all accounts
Suggests additional or alternative products or services that meet the customers needs
Researches and obtains resolution for a variety of customer complaints and issues
Serves as a communication link between the customers and local branch staff to assure responsiveness
Tracks order activity and alerts appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems
Expedites the delivery of specific orders
Calls customers when necessary to advise of shipment delays and/or information necessary to process orders
Active member of the branch health and safety committee
Other duties as assigned

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High level of commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Strong typing skills
Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints
Highly organized in prioritizing work and multi-tasking
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment
Previous experience with sourcing parts/product using a database is an asset
