The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Assiniboia is accepting applications for the full time position of STORE SUPERVISOR.
This position reports to the Business Manager, located in Moose Jaw - and is responsible for the day to day operation of the Assiniboia store.
Responsibilities include:
- staff scheduling and supervision
- submission of bi-weekly payroll
- ensure daily cash is properly managed, recorded and deposited
- oversee proper maintenance of equipment and building
- maintain SA guidelines and policies
- monitor and administer the local Food Bank operations
- willingness to participate as the Salvation Army's representative on various community boards and committees
- this is a 'working supervisory' position, and as such will be active alongside Store Clerks in such areas as sorting donations, pricing, cleaning, operating cash register and ordering of supplies
- other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- demonstrated ability and experience in all aspects of a retail sales operation
- experience in staff supervision
- good computer skills - experience with Excel an asset
- understanding of the Mission and Ministry of the Salvation Army
Starting Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience
Group medical/dental and RRSP plans are provided on accost share basis for employees - family coverage is available.
