ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director of Community Services (DCS) is accountable to the CEO for efficient management and coordination of all community service volunteer programs for Saskatchewan. The position ensures that all community service programs are positioned in the community to portray a professional image for the organization and volunteers are administered in accordance with the standards, policies and practices approved by SJA Saskatchewan. The Director works closely with volunteers, administrative staff and fellow Directors of SJA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DCS manages and coordinates all community service volunteer programs in the Centre including recommending the purchase and disposal of assets, development of Centre-specific program procedures, assisting with the development of plans and priorities and working cooperatively in a team environment.
DCS is responsible for all community service activities, including, but not limited to; recruitment, training, administration, etc. Works closely with the Directors to plan budget and implement annual business plan objectives. Develops and maintains close contact with consumers and clients. Keep record of volunteer hours, events, activities and coordinates the appropriate training and development of volunteers and, deploys volunteers in their respective duties. Attends community services related meetings and special events and works cooperatively in managing cross-team issues (e.g. identifying potential Provincial award recipients). Write Proposals, Board reports, synopsis of events, applications for awards, speeches, etc. Accepts all other duties as necessary
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office setting with travel upto 40%, Driver's License required.
