K+S Potash Canada (KSPC) is part of the K+S Group Company, with headquarters in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; a solution potash mine and production facility located near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; and a world-class potash handling and storage facility operated in partnership with Pacific Coast Terminals in Port Moody, British Columbia. Bethune mine, formerly known as the Legacy Project, is the first new potash mine in Saskatchewan in nearly fifty years. KSPC celebrated the Grand Opening of Bethune in May 2017 and projects it will reach a production capacity of 2 million tonnes by the end of 2017. The Bethune mine has created new job opportunities for Saskatchewan workers and new business opportunities for Saskatchewan companies supplying goods and services to this major economic development.  

Reporting the to the Plant Engineering Superintendent within the Maintenance & Reliability department, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for general mechanical and piping design and analysis for the operation as well as leadership of the mechanical engineering discipline within the Plant Engineering group. The position supports maintenance, production and wellfield departments to resolve mechanical and piping technical issues, complete mechanical and piping design for maintenance and capital projects, coordinate interfaces between internal technical interfaces and external technical bodies (e.g. TSASK, etc.), and analyze proposed mechanical and piping changes according to a management of change process.  The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for driving forward sound and standardized design, construction, and maintenance practices of mechanical and piping assets.
