The Ministry of Justice has an exciting career opportunity as Young Offender Deputy Director at the Paul Dojack Youth Centre. Under the authority of The Youth Criminal Justice Act, the Centre provides secure and open custody and remand as well as a range of educational and rehabilitative programming for male and female youth ages 12-18. The Centre has an approved bed space of 86.

Reporting to the Director of Operations or Director of Programs at the Paul Dojack Youth Centre, you will be responsible for the supervision of designated staff teams within the facility.  In addition to administering the operations of two units, in the absence of management personal you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility.  You will participate in the Centres program and procedures development, delivery and evaluation.  You will share the responsibility for recruitment as well as ongoing staff training needs within the Centre.
