Summary of Job:
The position will provide general office and administrative support including typing, minute taking, payroll, bookkeeping, reception, answering telephone calls, report generation, record maintenance and other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Not all duties are listed.
Some Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Typing responsibilities that include but not limited to, reports, minutes, and business correspondence.
Proficient in Microsoft works.
Proficient in Simply accounting software and application.
Answer incoming telephone calls.
Maintain the accounts of the company using general bookkeeping practices and procedures and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Payroll.
Administering employee benefits plans and salary schedule.
Preparing financial reports as required.
Contribute to a happy, healthy, safe and well work culture within Diversified Services.
Commitment to development and delivery of quality service.
Respects and promotes the individual choices, preferences and needs of participants and the principles of community contribution, citizenship, volunteerism and equality as defined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Required Prerequisites:
Completion of an one-year recognized business course.
Two years relevant experience, including bookkeeping.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Spelling, grammar, and composition of reports, documents, and business letters
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Proven ability to establish and maintain healthy and positive working relationships with service recipients, employees, and public.
Demonstrated effective file and office records maintenance
Ability to type 50-60 words per minute.
Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures. I.e. GAAP.
