SHSA provides safety consultation and education to our clients in hopes to reduce workplace injuries and spread awareness.
To support the CEO with matters pertaining to the Board of Directors, national working groups, travel and event coordination. To provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing correspondence, handling requests and performing clerical functions. The EA provides assistance with human resources and/or finance.
Job Duties Include:
- Champion the SHSA vision, mission,mandate, values, strategic plan, operational plan, Board directives, CEO directives, team norms, HR manual, and work with all other staff in order to help the SHSA fulfill all of its objectives and goals;
- Admin support for the CEO, including but not limited to:
o Coordination and support of approximately 40 formal meetings a year including board meetings, board committee meetings, managers meetings, steering committees, provincial and national partnerships;
o Booking travel, meetings, and maintenance of schedule;
o Preparing documents, reports and other confidential materials;
o Assisting with HR and/or Finance as required;
o Other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
- A certificate/diploma and at least five years related experience or an equivalent combination;
- Proven experience in minute taking, document distribution, meeting preparations, and working with SR Executives;
- Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information;
- Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised;
- Willingness to travel; includes overnight in and out of province on average between 20 to 30 nights per year
