Description

Giant Tiger junior discount stores specialize in offering family fashion, household products and food to rural and urban centres in Western Canada.  

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  
Ensures a high level of customer service within assigned areas
Recruits and pre-screens applicants for various positions throughout the store
Ensures all Associates are trained on policies and procedures
Communicates daily with the Store Manager to improve the overall efficiencies and standards throughout the store
Reviews all reports related to sales analysis and stock levels
Follows up on the proper utilization of the Merchandising System  
Verifies that all GM & Grocery Merchandising Events are in place per company strategy
Reviews Merchandising Hot Topics site weekly and reacts to hot selling items quickly
Properly handles damaged, defective and returned products
Ensures markdowns and SKU changes are properly implemented
Limits inventory levels in the stockroom to necessary product only

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 years of fashion and/or grocery management experience in a high volume store
A passion for retail and merchandise excellence
A proven leader
Proven analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with a high attention to detail
Exceptional organizational, buying, planning and prioritizing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for negotiation and building and maintaining customer and relationships
Strong merchandising, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Strong understanding of running a business for profit as well as sales
