The Foot Care Nurse provides professional preventative and curable foot care to Clients of Eden Care Health both in care homes and in the community. The practice in keeping their role within the standard practices and code of ethics of the regulated body and in accordance of the values, vision, mission and and the policies and procedure of Eden Care Communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination of foot care program
Provide assessment, implementation and evaluation of foot care for each client
Coordinate visits in keeping with the need and type of care required
Education and counselling regarding the care of feet
Teaching family members how to care for feet when appropriate
Referrals to other appropriate care providers when required
Complete records and submit to manager
Promote best practices at all times
Must have a diploma/degree in Nursing or a Practical Nursing Diploma. Completed Best Practices for Foot Care (Registered Nurse) or Principles and Practices of foot care (Licensed Practical Nurse)
