Description

For this position, the student will be working outside for the most part scouting and mapping invasive weeds under the direction of local Rural Municipalities. The student will enter locations into a GPS and later transfer that data to a database.

Another aspect of the job is the student will be delivering the Natural Edge program.  Training will be provided but essentially the job entails creating a re-vegetation plan for shoreline naturalization projects and working with landowners to plant trees and shrubs.

Student must be returning to school in the fall.
Must live in the Humboldt area or be willing to relocate.
Must have an excellent work ethic and be able to work with little supervision at times.
Must take direction well, and be a team player.
Must be willing to work flexible work hours.
Must know how to use a GPS (or willing to learn) and must have good computer skills.
Must have good communication skills (speaking, presenting, and writing)
Must be trustworthy with sensitive and confidential information.
Relevant educational background or job experience is an asset but training will be provided (attitude, willingness to learn and common sense are most important).
