Job Description: The Producer/ Editor will be responsible for developing and maintaining weekly content for Southwest TV News which provides local content for Southwest Saskatchewan. Other duties will include Producing and Editing both broadcast and corporate content and other assigned in-studio and on-location segments.The creation of motion graphics and TV graphics packages as required.The Ideal Candidate Must Have: Curious and outgoing personality; Strong creative abilities,capable of developing concepts with limited input; Excellent organizational and time management skills;Ability to work in a fast paced,deadline driven environment;Strong attention for details and takes pride in ones work; Ability to work independently and collaborate as required with other staff members; Enjoy working with the public with the ability of maintaining a positive professional attitude in any situation.Desired Skills: Intermediate skills videotaping in a single camera environment using HDV or other HD formats; Advanced knowledge working with nonlinear editing systems;Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 or later is preferred;Experience with motion graphics and graphic design using After Effects and Photoshop; Understanding of Social Media and its uses as it relates to video; Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License.
