Description

The Tire Stewardship of Saskatchewan Inc. is the scrap tire program operator established by the tire retail industry to oversee tire recycling activities in Saskatchewan.

Our focus is to operate an efficient tire recycling program across Saskatchewan.  We work collaboratively with our stakeholders, the provincial government and our contracted service providers to collect, process and recycle scrap tires responsibly on behalf of the people of Saskatchewan.

The Tire Stewardship of Saskatchewan Inc. is searching for a Part-time Program Assistant to join the organization immediately for a one-year term position (with the possibility of being extended or becoming permanent) to start as soon as possible until March 31, 2019. The days of work will be approximately 3-4 days during the first week of the month and 3-4 days during third week of the month.  There may be an opportunity to work more days for staff coverage during vacation etc.

Key areas of responsibility:
- Processing information provided by delivery partners and entering data into the custom application
- Supporting other areas within the office
- Responding to inquiries through email and phone
- Administrative tasks as assigned
- File organization and management
- Some project work as assigned for the right candidate
- Other office duties as required

Qualifications:
- A certificate/diploma in Office Administration or other related program or a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Superb communication skills and customer service experience
- Excellent attitude and work ethic, and a sense of humour
- Attention to detail is critical
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
