Description

The Payroll Administrator/ Accountant will be responsible for all pay roll for the organization and help record, process, update and reconcile various financial documents in assigned areas related to accounting functions and financial reporting.

Payroll Duties
Payroll/Benefits

Create new employee packages containing all necessary forms
Enter new employees into ADP/Payroll spread sheet
Run payroll every two weeks which includes the following;
Run numerous payroll reports
Enter boot/vision payments
Enter staff sale deductions
Update short term disability amounts as needed
Create ROES as needed
Create ADP Self-Serve Package & distribute New Employee Start-up Packages (Key fob, Information packages etc.), as well as employee based RSP contributions
Track and enter vacation days for plant employees - in ADP
Compile benefit packages, enter all benefit information as well as wage increases, and ensure accuracy of all information regarding STD, LTD etc.
Create Employee verification letters as requested
Create/Update Employees schedules as needed
Create annual vacation sheet
Manage petty cash
Issue rate increases according to hour tracking sheet
Track YTD employee hours each pay period  export hours to hourly tracking
Manage WCB injury claim forms

Requirements

Degree/ Diploma in Accounting. Designation is an asset but not a requirement.
3+ years of Payroll & Accounting experience.
Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
Resourceful, flexible, and well organized.
Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong communication skills.
