Request for Proposal
The Saskatchewan Restorative Justice Network (SRJN) is seeking an energetic and successful Event Planner to coordinate a National Restorative Justice Symposium to take place between November 18-20, 2018 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The event planner will be responsible for the planning and delivery of this event, including development and implementation of marketing materials in consultation with the SRJN. The successful candidate will also be charged with discovering new opportunities within the community to expand the target audience and increase the level of messaging regarding the subject matter.
Please respond with your proposal package for this contract position before midnight March 19, 2018. In your proposal please include anything you feel necessary for the SRJN committee to determine your ability to fulfill the requirements for this process. Please ensure that costing is included as well as quote an approximate budget for the event.
Responsibilities
Work with the SRJN group to develop a Symposium Concept
Manage all aspects of the event planning
Work with SRJN to develop program itinerary including development of a list of workshop presenters and keynote speakers
Identify potential opportunities to develop and grow the market reach for the symposium and SRJN.
Work with the SRJN group to conceptualize and develop marketing materials, including a Webpage for the symposium
Implement marketing materials and webpage
Manage event registration
Some fundraising may be required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a diverse Project Management background with exceptional experience in event planning and marketing. Excellent time management, vision and communication skills will be a necessity.
